Created & Performed by Marissa Moses
Live Sound by Salas Artworks
Saturday October 15, 2016 @ 4:30pm
3773 Crenshaw Blvd Los Angeles, CA
For this showing, Marissa Moses collaborated with sound artist, Ray Salas of Salas Artworks. Using excerpts from one of Juliet's monologues from Shakespeare's R&J, and Maya Angelou's poem In All Ways A Woman, Salas and Moses use improvisation to weave these two iconic female voices into a conversation around the feminist struggle and the current discomfort of the moment.
Rehearsals were made possible through the support of Carol Katz of Paloma Street Studio.
This performance was presented as a part of
Dance Resource Center's Home Grown @ Dance All Day festival,
presented by Lula Washington Dance Theatre
Taste of Soul Family Festival 2016
