New Solo by Marissa MosesAn improvisational embodiment of the stages of grief. Moses dives into the aftermath of trauma using inspiration from Butoh, a form of Japanese dance theater that arose post WWII. Finding beauty and transcendence through the grotesque, dark, and twisted. “When one considers the body in relation to dance, it is then that one truly realizes what suffering is: it is a part of our lives. No matter how much we search for it from the outside there is no way we can find it without delving into ourselves.”– Tatsumi Hijikata You're Invited to Home Grown @ MiModa on April 28th!
